This month we have a couple more tips that will be sure to improve the speed of play and make golf more enjoyable for everyone on the course.
Tip #1 – Find out your distance promptly
Even professionals can’t control their shots to exact distances all the time, so don’t get too caught up on exact measurements. If you like to be within a metre or two look at investing in a GPS device. They come in watches, hand held and voice versions. If you don’t have one try to find a sprinkler head or distance marker on the way to your ball and roughly count the steps until you reach your ball.
Tip #2 – Play in less than 30 seconds
When it’s your turn to play, aim to complete the shot in under 30 seconds. This is from club selection, through pre-shot routine and shot execution. You might find playing a bit faster results in better shots and scores.
