We're thrilled to announce that after a few months of being out of commission, the practice putting green at Riverside Golf and Sports Centre is finally back in action!
Thanks to our dedicated maintenance team and some innovative upgrades, our beloved green is better than ever. The practice green has undergone a remarkable transformation from the drought-stressed condition it was in back in early February. We've overseeded it with Oakley Bent Grass, a premium variety known for its resilience and rapid growth and already, we're seeing fantastic results. This creeping bentgrass not only offers exceptional disease resistance but also boasts superior wear tolerance, ensuring a high-quality turf surface year-round.
Say goodbye to those old shallow cups! We've upgraded to regulation-sized golf cups, enhancing your putting experience and making that sound we love to hear when the ball drops in the hole. We've also added two new cups to spread out the action, allowing for more varied practice opportunities and space for competitive games with friends. While we're excited about the improvements, we kindly remind everyone to refrain from pitching or chipping on the green, your cooperation is greatly appreciated as we work to maintain the excellence of our facilities.
