Last week marked a truly special milestone as the new Fairbairn Park Pavilion was unveiled. It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate this achievement alongside so many familiar faces and valued supporters from our community.
The Pavilion was officially opened by the Hon. Danny Pearson, joined by Mayor Cr Rose Iser. The occasion was further marked by the attendance of Helen Sui, CEO of Moonee Valley City Council, highlighting the significance of the facility for the wider community.
Sincere thanks are extended to Moonee Valley City Council, Minister Danny Pearson, and Essendon District Netball Club President Fiona Maher for their support and collaboration throughout the project. The presence of Rose Micallef, President of Ascot Vale Tennis Club, was also appreciated, reflecting the strong connections across local sporting groups.
The new Pavilion has been designed as a space for players to prepare on game day, for families to gather, and for the community to continue growing and connecting. The excitement and pride shared on the day served as a strong reminder of the importance of the project.
Looking ahead, there is strong enthusiasm for continuing to enhance the experience for everyone at Riverside Golf and Sports Centre.
