Member Spotlight

We recently caught up with one of our newest members, Chris, who joined the club just last month. Living right across the river, Chris is the perfect example of how to seamlessly integrate local sport into your lifestyle for better health and well-being.

For Chris, the mental and physical benefits of hitting the greens come down to three simple things: convenience, community, and a bit of fun.

Here is what he had to say about his experience on the course so far:

Fast and Flexible Fitness: "I love that I can pop over and play a few holes, whether I have time for a quick 9 or a full 18," Chris says. "I can get around relatively quickly and get on with my day."

Peak Course Conditions: Getting those steps in is easy when the surroundings are top-tier. Chris noted that the course has been in absolutely great shape lately, making the walk even better.

The Mate Factor: For Chris, golf is all about heading out with his mates, having a laugh, and channeling his favorite Ron Chopper content on the fairways.

Fresh Gear: A health kick certainly does not hurt when you are rocking new equipment. Impressively, Chris managed to bag the very last set of Cobra Darkspeed irons in Australia!

Advice for New Golfers

Are you considering getting into golf but haven't taken the plunge? Chris’s advice for men sitting on the fence about joining is simple:

"Don’t overthink it, just get out here. Grab some mates, enjoy the walk, and don't take it too seriously."

Next time you see Chris on the fairways testing out those new Cobra irons, be sure to give him a wave and welcome him to the community!
